RABINDRANATH JAYANTI CELEBRATION
“Everything comes to us that belongs to us if we create the capacity to
receive it.”- Rabindranath Tagore
Rabindra Jayanti is the day which marks the birth anniversary of the
great scholar and Nobel Laureate, Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. To honour the
memory of this polymath, the students of Grade VC presented a Special Assembly
on Rabindra Jayanti on May 5, 2022.
The students gave a splendid presentation on the life of Gurudev
alongwith his contributions to the fields of art and literature. They paid rich
tribute to Gurudev through the presentation of a graceful dance, melodious
songs, poem recitation and recitals from his repertoire.
Throwing light on the role of Tagore in the freedom struggle, the
significance of the call ‘Ekla chalo’, establishment of Shanti Niketan and the
collection of poems ‘Geetanjali’, the students gave magnificent presentations
and highlighted Gurudev’s contributions.
All the students participated with much enthusiasm, fervour and aplomb.
The whole programme was a spectacular event to look out for.
