GREEN DAY CELEBRATION

“A green planet is a happy clean planet!”

With this belief, Green Day was celebrated in the school to commemorate the birth anniversary of Honorable Founder Chairperson, Late Sri B. D. Gulati ji. An array of activities were conducted to mark the day and create awareness about Mother Earth and to cherish the greenery we are blessed with. The students of Class I contributed towards making the nature greener by planting saplings in the school garden. A special assembly ‘Invest in Our Planet’ was conducted by the students of Class VA to spread the message of restoring the green colour of the planet loud and clear. The students presented a melodious song and a well-choreographed dance to convey their feelings for nature. Along with other regular features of the assembly, the highlight of the programme was a Panel Discussion on 7R’s wherein the students posed as young scientists and discussed about different steps in detail and how each of these actions can be put into practice to achieve a sustainable future for all.

Addressing the students on the occasion, Madam Meenakshi Malhotra, Primary Wing Leader, motivated and enriched the young minds about the ways in which we all could contribute to save Planet Earth.

An Awareness Campaign was also organized by the students of Class V in school premises to sensitize the students about the importance of saving environment by using 7R’s (Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle and Rot). It was a remarkable beginning of the day where the Blue Bellians showcased their commitment of heralding a new horizon for the nation by conserving resources.

Keeping in mind the fitness and well-being of the students, sports activities were also conducted for the students of the Pre-Primary Wing.
