GRANDPARENTS’ DAY CELEBRATED AT BLUE BELLS PUBLIC SCHOOL
'A grandparent is
a parent, a teacher and a friend, all rolled into one.'
Grandparents’ Day
was celebrated by the Blue Bellians on October 08, 2022 to express the
affection and gratitude to the most venerable members of the families...the
Grandparents!
The
celebration began with a warm welcome followed by the auspicious Diya lighting
with shloka chanting. The melodious Ganesh Vandana gave a befitting start to
the celebration which was a solemn tribute to the divinity of grandparents. The
august gathering was accorded a warm welcome by Madam Arpita Acharya,
Officiating Principal of the school.
The poem
recitation highlighted the irreplaceable and unforgettable bond between
grandchildren and grandparents. The
melodious song presentation by the choir and the lively Dance Drama brought out
many wonderful memories for the grandparents. They had a plethora of games to
play which they enjoyed immensely. It was a moment of elation to see the
happiness ushering in the faces of all the grandparents who made the most of
this wonderful day.
Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Honourable Director,
BBGS, addressed the grandparents and thanked them for being there for their
grandchildren. She appreciated their efforts in shaping strong citizens of the
future and emphasized on the importance of the joint families for the healthy
growth of the children.
Madam
Meenakshi Malhotra, Primary Wing Leader proposed the Vote of Thanks and
expressed her gratitude to all the grandparents for their unending contribution
to the lives of the society.
